Charles Wilde - Using Mobile Devices with Vista

Charles Wilde envisioned and orchestrated the development of Aton's current line of mobile and embedded device products and services. The high quality results reflect his unique understanding of how to combine software with devices to satisfy business requirements.
His expertise in merging devices with systems has been instrumental in Aton International's becoming a highly regarded Microsoft Certified Partner, a Microsoft Windows Embedded Partner, and a Microsoft Mobile2Market Program member.
Wilde is now architecting the next generation of mobile and wireless device products for Aton and Aton's clients using Microsoft technologies such as .NET Framework, Windows Mobile and Windows Embedded.
Since founding Aton International in 1981, he has successfully developed and marketed commercial communications and operating system software products for the US and international markets. He has delivered custom software solutions for business, consumer and government applications for original equipment manufacturers (OEM), independent software vendors (ISV) and system integrators (SI) with embedded, desktop and networked systems.
With over 20 years experience in software development and consulting, Mr. Wilde has directed and produced the development of reliable solutions for Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, embedded systems, and data communications. He holds a BSEE degree from Seattle University and is a member of the IEEE.

Anand 'ai' Iyer

Some people do crossword puzzles to relax; Anand jumps out of airplanes. Anand (or 'A.I' as he is affectionately known) works at Microsoft as a Developer Evangelist. A.I worked at Cisco Systems as a software development engineer pioneering XML-based manageability solutions, before his developer-mid-life-crisis hit, and he joined Microsoft. A.I has extensive experience in routing and switching technologies, and has worked on several development platforms, including Linux and Unix. He is fluent in C, C++ and Java, and scripting languages such as PERL. He has also earned two patent awards related to manageability solutions on networking platforms. A.I graduated from Purdue University (Go Boilers!) with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering. In his professional daydreams, when he's not surfing the web, catching up on his RSS feeds, blogging, or staring at a mirror, A.I is on the gridiron, working as the quarterbacks coach for his beloved Alma Mater. Nima Dilmaghani

Nima Dilmaghani is a Developer Evangelist with Microsoft. Nima has over 14 years of software development experience. He has worked in large enterprises as well as Silicon Valley startups. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in applied mathematics with specialization in computing from UCLA.

Peter Kellner

Peter Kellner founded 73rd Street Associates in 1990, where he successfully delivered systems for university clinic scheduling, insurance company management, and a turnkey physician office management to more than 500 customers nationwide. Ten years later, in 2000, 73rd Street Associates was purchased by a large insurance company, and Peter started a new career as an independent software consultant. Among the technologies he currently is involved with are ASP.NET, Oracle, Java, VOiP, and soon, SQL Server. When not working, Peter spends most his free time biking. He has ridden his bike across the globe. Most recently he and his wife, Tammy, rode across the U.S., from California to Georgia, in just 27 days. Peter Kellner is also an ASP.NET Microsoft MVP

George Deglin

George Deglin works as a software engineer for Navio.

Cal Schrotenboer

Cal is a C# developer with experience in application front ends for SQL Server databases. He also teaches programming classes (Advanced C#, ASP.NET, VSTO, Perl, SQL Server 2005) at Foothill College and Microsoft Network Administration (MCSE) classes at Mission College. Upcoming classes at Foothill include Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Powershell Scripting. His outside interests include travel and photography ( www.travelswithcal.com).

Scott Mauvais

Scott is an architect at the Microsoft Technology Center in Mountain View.

Douglas R. Spindler

Douglas R. Spindler has been an independent consultant for more than 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. He loves solving computer networking problems and coming up with innovative solutions using Microsoft products. When not solving client's problems, Douglas runs an independent product testing lab and is President of the San Francisco Networking Technologies Users Group. He has authored numerous articles, lectures at trade events and teaches at a local college. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in Micro-cell - Developmental Biology and holds many certifications including an MCSE + Internet and is a Microsoft MVP.

Stephanie Quilao

Stephanie Quilao works at Microsoft as an Enthusiast Evangelist. What the heck kind of job is that you ask? The Enthusiast Evangelist role is brand new to Microsoft, and our jobs are to show people how Microsoft technologies can help them in their daily lives beyond work. The products we highlight are the ones available to consumers like Vista, Zune, XBOX, MSN Spaces, and Live.com. Stephanie’s talent is translating Geek speak into Oprah speak so that everyone in the family can understand and enjoy technology. When she’s not spreading the good word of Microsoft, Stephanie blogs at Back in Skinny Jeans, a blog about beauty in pop culture.

Will Tschumy

Will has been leading experience design teams to successful launches for the last 10 years. In each of his roles, he's focused on fostering innovation through finding the intersection of the needs of experience ("What is desirable to users?"), business ("What is viable in the marketplace?"), and technology ("What is possible?").
He's worked in a variety of different consulting environments from his own, to large management consulting organizations. As a Director of Experience Strategy, Will led the experience design portion of some of Scient's largest projects. Will also helped in redesigning Scient's delivery processes.
Will created and led the User Experience group at GTECH. While there, he led the redesign of GTECH's industry leading lottery services applications. Today, these applications are used to run lotteries across the United States and Europe. Will has also led the Information Architecture group at Walmart.com, focusing on Digital Music, Photos and Videos. While at Walmart, Will led the induction of AJAX into the site, yielding a significant improvement in conversion and average order size.
Will has a BA in the History of Art from Vassar College. He has just celebrated his first wedding anniversary and enjoys photography, cooking and travel.

Alina Libova

Alina Libova is a senior at Mountain View High School and the organizer of the Vista party. She's planning on getting a double degree in computer science and economics then work as a software engineer.
